Vancouver Lake Sailing Club

Around noon on Jan. 10th, 2008, a tornado touched down at the top of our ramp, bounced up, and came back down again at the neighboring Vancouver Lake Crew facility.

VLSC had one boat rack flipped over and tossed around, and a few boats blown off their trailers, but despite significant debris from two downed trees, only minimal boat damage occured.

Our neighbors at the Crew facility were not as lucky; most of what they had there was obliterated when the tornado touched back down again.

These pictures were taken by Sue Anderson in the afternoon.
