SCHEDULE

  • 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Registration & Check-in.
  • 3:00 p.m. Competitor's Meeting.
  • 4:00 p.m. Warning Signal -- 1st race.
  • About 8 p.m. Dinner at VLSC After Racing.

RULES

All races will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 2017-2020, the prescriptions of US SAILING, and the Laser Class rules where applicable, except as any of these are changed by this Notice of Race and/or this event's Sailing Instructions. . Sailing Instructions will be provided at registration. One race constitutes a regatta. Six races are scheduled. There will be one throw-out after four races are completed.

CLASSES

Three boats are required to form a class. The Regatta is open to all boats of the Laser and Laser Radial Classes. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each class will be awarded. Additional awards may be awarded depending on competitor turnout.

ENTRY

Eligible boats may be entered in this regatta by completing a registration with the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club in accordance with the regatta registration form. A boat must be registered and have all fees paid to VLSC before becoming an official competitor. Five boats must be registered in each fleet in order to be scored separately. Awards will be given to the first 3 finishers in each fleet.

Regatta Fee (includes 1 dinner ticket) : $25
US Sailing Member Discount : $5
Early Registration Discount (by July 17th) : $5
Extra Dinner Tickets : $6/each

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Pets are not allowed on the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club grounds. Please drive slowly in the residential area surrounding Vancouver Lake Sailing Club. Fresh water will be available to wash off your boat after racing. Showers will be available for competitors. email race-captain@vlsc.org for more information

SAFETY REGULATIONS

Each boat shall carry safety equipment conforming to government regulations, class rules, and US SAILING or ISAF rules.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at a their own risk. See rule 4, decision to race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
